Have been eating here for about 2 years. Booked a reservation this afternoon, just 45 minutes before our arrival and was pleasantly surprised to see our table set up for two, but side by side. We always sit side by side! We did not request this set up. Super impressive customer service. The food here is always amazing! High quality and well prepared.

Don't let this restaurant's location fool you! We were looking for a nice sit down meal after shopping with our out of town family and someone spotted this gem. We were pleasantly surprised upon walking in. The atmosphere was calming and the food smelled amazing! Upon browsing the menu we thought it was a bit too expensive for a late lunch, but after choosing our meals we realized that it wasn't any more expensive than any other nicer restaurant or even less even if one. The food was delicious and freshly made from the open concept kitchen. The service was also top notch, our server was very sweet and helpful. The four of us enjoyed our selections and even shared some of our favorites with each other for future reference. We sat in a comfortable booth but noted that they also offer private rooms. Thank you for the wonderful culinary experience we had, we will definitely be dining with you again! The employees also dressed in we felt was traditional Japanese clothing, adding to the atmosphere. 100% Recommended to anyone that enjoys Japanese cuisine! 5 stars across the board!

Again, excellent consistency. Like the South Common location, this location does a great job with quick and friendly service with very good sushi. My 10th time to this location, always very good. Manager is also very attentive to all patrons.

Found this place while exploring Edmonton. The Lunch Sashimi Combo was delicious as well as the Bluefin Gunkan sushi I tried. My waitress was attentive and very kind. Recommend to any sushi lovers

FANTASTIC SERVICE AND FOOD. Everything is really worth the price. Incredibly fresh! Britney is my favorite server! Me and my mom finally tried uni and its to die for. Tastes like the ocean and melts in your mouth. We tried several dishes and loved them all. The tempura is incredible! Ill have to try a dessert next time!

One of the better Japanese restaurants in this city. It's really hard to find good sushi restaurants there's a few of them in it in Edmonton being from the coast I'm finding it really hard to find what I really enjoy but Mikado does make some really good food I have to tell you I order from them all the time there's a couple of other ones too but we have to remember we're in the village of Edmonton there's no ocean around us so nothing's going to be perfect here when it comes to seafood It's really hard to find a good sushi restaurant this one's definitely doable for me It's one of the best ones I've found in Edmonton. I really wish that some Japanese restaurants would actually offer real crab meat In BC you get real crab meat I don't know how anybody got the right to call Pollock this white artificial painted fish they paint with red paint or whatever it is red food coloring to make it look like crab and they call it crab that's not crabs so stop offering it as crab every restaurant says crab a California roll and BC has real crab meat in it sockeye salmon is very very popular in BC hardly any restaurants in Edmonton carry sockeye salmon they carry the wild fatty salmon this imitation crab should not be called crab it's not crab it's a totally different fish I don't even know what it is but it's not even got the texture of crab and that's what bugs me cuz every time I phone a restaurant I asked them before I even go to the restaurant do you have real crab no they don't so all you people out there eating fake California rolls I don't get it.

Very nice looking restaurant. Table for two is a little small if you are like me and my husband and are going to order a lot of items, might want to ask for a bigger table. Gyoza was delicious. Husband loved the fireball meatballs. Coast to coast boat was beautifully arranged and the sushi was great. Green tea tempura ice cream and tiramisu cheesecake both delightful. Great night out.

I rather enjoyed assorted sashimi followed by a hot green tea. Between the sashimi's outstanding flavors and delightful presentation, Mikado is one of my top sushi restaurants.
